Kimberly K. Canales-Ascui is a street and portrait photographer who has developed an immersive and intimate style in her work.

A strong knack for exploring ideas and a keen curiosity for culture and society has facilitated Kimberly's work in Melbourne and abroad. Her portfolio is a mixture of personal and commissioned works ranging from street photography captured throughout Australia, The South Pacific Islands, Asia and Europe to editorial works for clients including Converse, Matters Journal, Hype DC, Acclaim Magazine, Vice, Tourisms and Complex Magazine. 

Kimberly undertook the Footscray Community Arts Centre's Emerging Cultural Leaders program and was recently awarded the Brimbank Art Spaces Activation Grant. She endeavours to practice community involvement with her work and is open to collaboration.
